Jrgen Klinsmann's time at Tottenham Hotspur was relatively brief but hugely significant. The German striker arrived at the club in the summer of 1994 and made an immediate impact, both on and off the pitch.

Klinsmann quickly established himself as a fan favourite with his high-energy displays and his trademark celebration, which involved diving to the ground as if he had been shot before leaping back up again with a huge grin on his face. In his first season at the club, Klinsmann scored 21 goals in the Premier League and 30 in all competitions.

In the 1997-98 season, during his second period at Tottenham, he was instrumental in saving the club from relegation, specifically with the four goals he netted in a 6-2 victory over Wimbledon. His final appearance at the top-level took place in 1998, during the last match of the Premier League season against Southampton.
