This tee is our tribute to a lethal and legendary number nine. During his initial six-months at the club, Crespo failed to score and was frequently subjected to boos from the crowd. The club's head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, was heavily criticized for persisting with Crespo's selection during this time. However, his decision to keep faith with the player was ultimately justified as Crespo went on to score 12 goals in 27 matches during his first Serie A season, helping Parma finish as runners-up to Juventus. The turning point for Crespo came in March 1997 when he received a standing ovation for scoring two goals against Cagliari. Following this, he played a crucial role in Parma's victory in the 1998-99 Coppa Italia and scored the opening goal in their 3-0 win over Marseille in the UEFA Cup final. In total, Crespo scored an impressive 80 goals during his four seasons with the club.
